New surveys are created via the Surveys page - this is the first page you see when you log-in. Simply click on the plus button and give it a name.

Alternatively, you can duplicate an existing survey. Click on the survey tile and then select duplicate. The new survey will appear on this page and you will be ready to start editing the content, starting with creating a new name.

Your new survey project will open and you will find different steps to go through in order to set up your survey and analyze results:

1. Configure

This section allows you to customize the survey to best meet your needs.
  • Title - This will be the name of the project displayed for your survey participants
  • Survey duration - You can choose to specify a start and end date for your survey. Outside of this period a message will be displayed to anyone attempting to participate explaining that the survey is no longer open.
  • Alias - This is the survey owner name that the research participant will see. For example if you are a research agency running a survey behalf of Company X you may want their name shown at the top of the survey, rather than yours which you used to register on inColor. So you would type Company X  in this field.
  • Logo - you can display a logo at the top of your survey.
  • Video Length - specify the min and max length that you want to allow for the video contributions of your participants

Translation

  • Please note that you can only have one language per project - there is no multi-language functionality within quantilope inColor and you will have to set up one project per language.

  • If you would like to set up a project with the translation option, please make sure that the only supported languages are the following:

  • Arabic
  • Chinese (Simplified)
  • Chinese (Traditional)
  • English
  • French
  • Hindi
  • German
  • Italian
  • Japanese
  • Korean
  • Portuguese
  • Spanish

Redirect

InColor allows for 3 different use cases:

  1. no redirect (the user stays on the final thank you page after completing the survey)
  2. automatic redirect (the user is automatically redirected to the chosen page after submitting the last response)
  3. redirect with a button (the user has to actively click on a button in order to be redirected to the chosen page).

Automatic redirect serves best for performing joint surveys with quantilope core or when working with panels:

If you want the user to stay on the thank you page, simply do not select any of the radio buttons (this is a default state).

Privacy Note

The legal terms that contributors will be agreeing to by submitting a survey response are automatically set by quantilope. You should further specify any terms relevant for how personal data will be processed by your company in the text input field. If you leave it empty the respondents will see "For further information please contact [ALIAS]".

The legal terms will automatically be linked at the bottom of the starting page.

If you use the panel link (because you don’t want/ need to collect email addresses (>> see Distribute Survey)), you should also:

1a) provide the panel with the legal terms so they can send it to participants and participants can agree to it - at least if the screening is done by the panel

OR 1b) inform participants about the legal terms within your quantilope screening project (include a hyperlink) - if you do the screening

How to get the legal link?

The legal link consists of the domain (‘response.quantilope.io’) a hashtag (‘/#/’) as well as the project identifiers and ‘/legal’ in the end. You can simply access the legal terms page via the preview mode and then click on the “Legal Terms” at the bottom left.

Alternatively, you can also ‘create’ the legal link based on the panel link:

Example

Panel Link

https://response.quantilope.io/#/panel/60f56cb98115720008791559/60f56cb9811572000879155a/

→ delete ‘panel/’

Corresponding Legal Link

→ add ‘/legal’
